One of the funny incidents is the punchline or a climax-which gives the incidents a sudden transformation or twist (into something not expected). It is this punchline which makes the incident funny. We make several statements in our day-to-day life and invariably come across statement, which are funny and leads to a sudden twist to the conversion. Basically, punch lines are usually the last lines of a conversation/ story, etc, which provide it with humor and climax or we can say that it is the trial part of a joke or a comedy sketch. A given statement would fit as a punch line if, it passes the following three tests.

II. It must be funny.
III. It must bring in sudden twist.

1. A sea route from Europe to India through the Cape of Good Hope was discovered by Vasco Da Gama.

He reached the port of Calicut in 1498 and was received by the Hindu ruler of Calicut (Known by the title of Zamorine).
Second visit of Vasco Da Gama in 1502.

2. Established their first factory in 1500 at Calicut which was abandoned in 1525 due to the pressure of Zamorine.

3. Cochin was the early Portuguese capital in India, later on it was replaced by Goa.

1. Circuit Theory: Circuit components; network graphs; KCL, K V L ; circuitan alysis methods : nodal analysis, mesh analysis; basic network the orems and applications; transient analysis : RL , RC and R L C circuits ;
sinusoidal steady state analysis; resonant circuits; coupled circuits; balanced 3-phase circuits; Two-port networks.

2. Signals & Systems: Representation of continuous–time and systems; convolution; impulse response; time-domain analysis of LTI systems based on convolution and differential/difference equat ions. Four ier t ransform, Laplace transform, Z-transform, Transfer function. Sampling and recovery of signals DFT, FFT Processing of analog signals through discrete-time systems.

3. E.M. Theory: Maxwell's equations, wave propagation in bounded media. Boundary condi t ions, reflection and refraction of plane waves. Transmission line: travelling and standing waves, impedance matching, Smith chart.

4. Analog Electronics: Characteristics and equivalent circuits (large and small-signal) of Diode, BJT, JFET and MOSFET. Diode circuits: clipping, clamping , rectifier . Biasingand bias stability. FET amplifiers. Current mirror; di f ferent ial , operat ional , feedback and power. Analysis of amplifiers; frequencyresponse of amplifiers. OPAMP circuits. Filters; sinusoidal oscillators: criterion for oscillation; single-transistor and OPAMP configurations. Function generators and switching power supplies.
